Locally Janet has performed with Theatre de la Jeune Lune, The Bakken Trio, Shawn McConneloug and her Orchestra, Duane Schulthess and ICE. She has performed and recorded some Jerome Hill’s vocal works as a part of the 2005 centennial celebration of the artist and philanthropist. She has premiered many of the vocal works of her husband, composer Philip Fried.
