This first assignment consists of two parts, and must be turned in on paper at the beginning of class, 19 January, 2007.

Part One

You must show me that you can write, compile and run a trivial Java program. Demonstrate in the lab or e-mail me reasonable proof that you have written a 'Hello World' program, successfully compiled it, and run it.

This part of the assignment need not be turned in on paper.

Part Two

Write an algorithm which would instruct a robot or small child how to go to the store and get some groceries. This should be written in English, not Java.
