IMPORTANT NOTE TO WEC: This course is on the DAY SCHOOL schedule and runs thru the first week of May. We meet every Thursday night except for Mid-Term Break.

This course will study advanced topics in computer operating systems and networking. We will concentrate on the Unix operating system and network software to provide simple services on remote machines. The course will consist of lectures and exercises,  two one-hour quizzes, a  final project/presentation and a final examination. Exams will be largely essay questions with some simple arithmetic problems. The Lab Exercises are programming tasks outlined in the text book. They will be graded on the clarity of the journal that you keep while doing the lab exercises.
