Center for Teaching and Learning - Working Group: 2004 - 2007

A small group of motivated faculty and staff convened during the summer of 2004 to produce a course evaluation form grounded in teaching and learning theory. A new form was created and online delivery was chosen to maximize student anonymity, to improve timeliness of results, and to simplify faculty access to the data.

The new form was piloted and revised during the 2004-2005 academic year. It was approved by the faculty in the fall of 2005 to be used college-wide for a 2-year pilot period. The results from 2005-2007 were evaluated by a working group. Updated recommendations for the faculty were developed for the spring of 2009.  The faculty voted instead to keep the system as-is until the Section 6 of the Faculty Handbook is complete.
