Study Abroad
Last summer I went on the study abroad trip to
Namibia and South Africa, which was an amazing experience. That
was something else I thought I never would have done. My eyes have
been opened to a lot of different people and cultures, but at the
same time, that part of my culture that I never would have gotten
to look at first-hand.

Augsburg’s national award-winning Center for
Global Education (CGE), focusing on social justice issues, maintains
permanent sites with resident adjunct faculty in Mexico, El Salvador,
Guatemala, Nicaragua, and Southern Africa.
Through Augsburg’s International Partners (IP) program, you can
study at partner schools in Norway and Germany. Also, special internships
are available to education and social work majors through IP.
Augsburg is a founding member of the Higher Education Consortium for
Urban Affairs (HECUA), offering study programs in Europe and Latin America
that emphasize the impact of civic engagement, social change, and cross-cultural
factors in the human community.
