Campus Visits
A visit to Augsburg is the best way to determine if you are meant to be an Auggie. To get you started, we invite you to explore our college in the city by meeting with an Admissions Counselor and touring campus with an Auggie Guide.
Campus visits are held Monday through Friday through the academic year and begin on the hour at: 9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., or 3:00 p.m.
Your individual meeting with an Admissions Counselor is a great occasion for us to get to know you and for you to ask questions about Augsburg, the admission process, and scholarship opportunities. Counselor visits last approximately one half hour. You will also be given student insights as an Auggie Guide takes you around campus to share more about their college home. The campus tour lasts approximately one hour.
Please call the Admissions Office at 612-330-1001 or 1-800-788-5678 to schedule a visit to campus. We ask for at least a one-day notice to ensure availability of Admissions Counselors and Auggie Guides. We will confirm your visit by sending out a campus map with directions and a parking permit.
Saturday Visits
If a Monday through Friday visit doesnt work for you, we hope youll join us on a Saturday! Our Saturday visit begins at 10:00 a.m. and will give you a brief overview of Augsburg and the admission process, followed by a 10:30 a.m. tour of campus by an Auggie Guide. We will be offering Saturday visits in 2012 on the following Saturdays:
- March 10, 17, 24, and 31
- April 14, 21, and 28
Overnight Visits
Taking the time to spend a night at Augsburg has been known to help students feel a stronger connection to the campus by experiencing what life is like in our Residence Halls.
Visiting overnight can really help you decide if Augsburg is that right fit to be your college home. Many students will also add a day visit either before or after the overnight as this is the perfect time to sit in on classes, talk with faculty, conductors, and coaches.
Please note that we reserve this experience for students who are in their senior year of high school and just ask that you call to schedule this at least two weeks in advance so we can create a schedule tailored to your interests.
Groups Visiting Campus
We have limited availability for hosting large groups on campus; therefore all group visits must receive approval and be arranged through our Visit Coordinator, Brenda Hemmingsen. Our group visit day is Wednesday and groups are worked with on a first come, first served basis. Groups are expected to have at a minimum one chaperone per ten students who will stay with the group at all times. Groups may not be larger than 50 students.
For Parents
