Fieldwork

Substantial learning in the field is one of the hallmarks of this program.  The three core methods courses (ECE 345/545, ECE 346/546, ECE 347/547) require a total of 80 hours for teaching in a preprimary classroom.

Preprimary faculty have developed relationships with a variety of sites that are expecting our students to learn from being immersed in their classrooms.  We have tried to provide a variety of settings, using a variety of Early Childhood Models and and locations.  We are committed to our students experiencing urban settings.  For more information about our partner schools, please refer to the Field Experience Partner Schools page.
