ECE Student Teaching (3 courses) 7 weeks in Preprimary (ECE 488, 489) or Kindergarten and 7 weeks in a grade 1-6.
Substantial learning in the field is one of the hallmarks of this program. The three core methods courses (ECE 345/545, ECE 346/546, ECE 347/547) require a total of 80 hours for teaching in a preprimary classroom.
Preprimary faculty have developed relationships with a variety of sites that are expecting our students to learn from being immersed in their classrooms. We have tried to provide a variety of settings, using a variety of Early Childhood Models and and locations. We are committed to our students experiencing urban settings.
