Auggie First Year in 10 Steps

Congratulations on your acceptance! Now, let’s get started.

Now that you are admitted into Augsburg College, we want to make sure you know what to do next. Just follow these next ten steps to being an Auggie.

Step 1: Apply for financial aid
This is important if you want to be considered for Augsburg aid, grants, and loans.

Step 2: Schedule financial aid appointment
Appointments with financial aid counselors are available to students after they have received their award letters. Call 612-330-1046 to schedule a First Year Financial Aid Review.

Step 3: Pay $150 Enrollment Deposit with Admissions
Call 612.330.1001 to pay over the phone, or mail in the Enrollment Deposit form.

Step 4: Submit housing contract, housing request form, and $200 reservation fee
This fee is non-refundable, and required to live on campus.

Step 5:  Complete first-year course request and placement tests
This is how you’ll register for your fall classes. Students are required to complete this by July 1.

Step 6: Sign up for a First Year Review Appointment
Advising and Student Financial Services will talk with all students about their fall schedules, aid, and payment plans.

Step 7: Register for First-Year Student Summer Orientation (SOAR)
Registration begins April 1 and ends July 1.

Step 8: Send all final transcript(s)
All high school, AP, IB and college transcripts should be received by Augsburg’s Office of Admissions by August 1.

Step 9: Review and pay your fall tuition bill
You’ll receive an email notification of your fall tuition bill.

Step 10: Prepare to be an Auggie!
Put these important dates on your to-do list.
