| Islamic Prayer Rugs: A Creed in ColorThe Gage Family Art Gallery opened its season this year with participation in the statewide Sacred Arts Exhibition Series with the exhibition Islamic Prayer Rugs: A Creed in Color. Terrence is a popular Minnesota artist who turns ordinary everyday objects into icons to describe his subjects with little regard towards their physical form. | Augsburg Juried Student Art Exhibition May 4 – May 20, 2001 Opening reception: May 4, 2001, 5-7 p.m. Alumni GalleryThis annual event is open to the entire student body and has truly become a highlight on the exhibition calendar. Prizes and awards are given to those individual students whose work excels. The People’s Choice Award gives the entire Augsburg community the opportunity to vote for their favorite piece in the show. Those artists awarded prizes are then exhibited in President Frames reception room, “The Hall of Frame,” for the following academic year. |
