The long, narrow Christensen Center Art Gallery will
once again be transformed into an engaging sculptural installation this
summer as part of Augsburg College’s Summer Emerging Artist Series.
Building on the existing architecture of the gallery, artist Trever Nicholas
will use familiar objects and everyday materials to create dynamic, playful
forms that he hopes will “transport gallery viewers into another
world as they step inside the gallery.”
Nicholas received his MFA from the University of Minnesota
in 2004 and has recently exhibited around the Twin Cities at Franklin
Art Works, The Soap Factory, and Soo Visual Arts Center.
