Augsburg College senior studio art students will exhibit
a body of their works in the Christensen Center Art Gallery from Friday,
April 8 through Friday, May 19. A public reception is scheduled for Friday,
April 8, from 4:30–6:30 p.m. with a special presentation at 5:30
p.m. For the first time one student’s artwork will receive the designation
of “Best in Show,” as decided by David Feinberg, painting
professor at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, and Alonso Sierralta,
sculpture professor at Concordia University, St. Paul.
The Senior Art Exhibition participants are Emily Burck,
Sandy Evans, Sandy Kalinowski, Jennifer Kotsmith Kraus, Darby Lorents,
Sara Beth Olson, Madeline Pederson, Corinne Schuster, Aaron Surprenant,
and Gurayn Sylte.
All events at the Augsburg Art Galleries are free and
open to the general public.
The Christensen Center Art Gallery is located in Christensen
Center, at 22nd Avenue South and 7 1⁄2 Street on the Augsburg College
campus. The gallery hours are 8 a.m.– 5 p.m. Monday–Sunday.
