The photographs of Terry Gydesen attest to the fact that there is art to be found in politics. For almost twenty years she has pictured political life on the local and national levels by documenting political campaigns, legislative sessions, elected officials, marches, and protests. Although the lens of her camera may seem to be recording what is visible to all, Gydesen’s work is far from purely objective. In the exhibition “Justice For All?” she draws attention to the personal passions that fuel politics, for better or for worse.
