Westbrook’s installation will feature a series of abstract drawings on gessoed hardboard and sculptural/architectural objects. The drawings, or “palimpsests,” as the artist refers to them, are investigations of flatness, depth, and memory.
The artist has taught architecture classes at Augsburg College and the University of Minnesota, his alma mater. Currently Westbrook works for Shelter Architecture in Minneapolis.
All events at the Augsburg Art Galleries are free and open to the general public.
