Artist Lyz Wendland’s exhibition seeks to comment on the simple function of a line. Wendland explores abstract imagery throughout her pieces, which vary in material and dimension. Her work generates a contemplative environment for the viewer, evoking ideas of place and memory.
Wendland received her B.F.A. from Minnesota State University, Mankato and her M.F.A. from Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Her work has been exhibited locally in a number of galleries, such as The Soap Factory and Burnett Chambers, and nationally, including the APW Gallery in New York and The Berkley Art Center in Berkley, California. She was a 2009 Jerome Fiber Artist Project Grant recipient and currently teaches at St. Cloud State University.
