"You may ask, why is she making linoleum prints of woodgrain? It would make more sense just to ink and print actual grain from planks of wood. Its absurd..which makes me chuckle..maybe that's why I do it. I'm still working out the variations and combinations, and I've yet to include endgrain images.
In this current work, the abstract images and their titles satisfy my intention to state matter-of-factly, just what they appear to be. This literalness is an acknowledgement to artists like Sol Lewitt. Additional references are supplied by the viewer.
