When Friday rolls in we all know it is time to get out with friends and have some fun! Here are four of our favorite places to go in Cuernavaca to unwind and have a good time.
Pool
If you’re looking to have some fun or looking for a competitive game Alboa Entertainment Hall is a great place to go to play some pool! With their relaxed yet modern atmosphere, Alboa is a great place to unwind after a stressful week! For $100 pesos total, four people can play an hour of pool. They have full service bar for both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks that are delivered to you while you play. We recommend the Chocolate Malt or the Piña Colada! You can also request your favorite songs to listen to while you play. Who says you can’t shoot pool and dance at the same time? All the above mentioned reasons make Alboa our favorite place to go play pool!
Cine Morelos
If you are looking for an affordable and unique place to catch a movie we recommend checking out Cine Morelos! Cine Morelos an independent movie theater is within a fifteen minute walk from the Cuernavaca CGEE campus. With your student ID, a ticket will only cost you $15 pesos (less than $1 USD). You can also bring in your own snacks and drinks! Cine Morelos is dedicated to sharing the independent cinematic art of Mexico and the world with you. The variety of movies they show is unbeatable. This week was the Festival of the Grotesque, which showed a variety of horror movies. Last week they hosted the showing of two independent documentary films showcasing the lives of LGBT people in Cuernavaca.

Bowling
Let’s bowl tonight! Grab a group friends and head down to Alboa Entertainment Hall the best place to knock some pins down! Located in Plaza Cuernavaca, Alboa has a modern plush décor with comfortable lane seating. With the dozens of TVs you can catch your favorite team’s games while you play. Our favorite day of the week is Tuesday as Alboa offers half price bowling!
Cinemex Platino
Cinemex Platino takes going to the movies to a whole nother level! With giant, comfy, reclining chairs you can sit or lay back and enjoy the show! No need to sneak in a pizza or other snacks as they have a full menu of drinks, snacks and main courses that they will serve to you right in your seat during the movie. Of course, the price is a little steeper ranging from 80 pesos to 150 pesos for entrance. Though if you are looking for some where to truly treat yourself this is the place to go! *Insiders secret: Make sure to check out the rooftop of Plazas Cuernavaca with plenty of seating, fountains that light up and a beautiful view.
