Program Costs
Semester Programs Abroad
The comprehensive fee for any semester program is $16,375 per semester (2011-2012 academic year). This includes tuition, room and board, emergency travel insurance, and in-country costs.
Students are responsible for their round-trip airfare to the location from the U.S. (a group flight is arranged by CGE for Southern Africa, books and personal spending money, including time during scheduled breaks.
Summer Programs Abroad
Summer program costs vary by location. Airfare is not included in any program price, nor are visa application fees or entry/exit taxes.
Mexico: The cost of the 2012 program is $4,700 per session. Two six-week sessions are available.
Namibia: The cost of the program is $4,700 for 2012.
The program fees for each summer program, include tuition for two courses, course related field trips, full room and board (including homestays with host families), pre-trip preparation materials, airport or bus transfers, medical/emergency insurance, and general program oversight.
Internships Abroad
Internships Abroad can occur as part of a semester or summer program in either Mexico or Southern Africa. In this situation, there is no additional cost for participation in an internship; please see above Semester and Summer Program costs. Additionally, students who wish to customize an internship program or experience outside an existing program are welcome to do so in Mexico only. The below may help you determine an idea or approximation of costs for a customized seminar. Each price represents the typical per person cost for an 8 day/7 night customized travel seminar. Typically, price decreases when costs can be shared among a larger group of participants.
However, please keep in mind that each seminar is unique in itinerary and cost, and the below is only an approximation:

***Cost includes: planning and customization, pre-trip preparation assistance, production of a promotional brochure, all meals and lodging, ground transportation, all in-country programming costs and group excursions, honoraria for guest speakers, accompaniment by a CGE group leader, and translation services. Price also assumes one "free" leader/faculty member for the group, whose costs are incorporated into the larger group fee.
