Voting/formal
political activities:

Voting and formal political activities mobilize people to influence public policy through formal political channels.  Examples include campaign work, publishing profiles of candidates regarding their records of support on various public issues, coordinating voter registration drives, attending hearings, or working for election integrity.

The political organizations featured here will provide you with resources on government accountability, civil rights, media reform, public research, and the democratic process.  They will also spark ideas on ways to address United States’ political and economic policies that impact the communities you visited.
