The Center for Global Education is committed to providing opportunities for post-secondary faculty and administrators to gain first-hand experiences around issues of globalization in the countries where we work. For more than 15 years, we have designed seminars geared toward the professional development of educators. In addition to the opportunity to share best practices for critically integrating global perspectives into their coursework, faculty and administrators have found these seminars invaluable vehicles for advancing campus discussions around international affairs.
Faculty are invited to participate in our yearly professional development seminars which take place every summer. Enrollment is open to all professional educators. The upcoming open professional development seminars are:
- 2013 – Education for Decolonization (Guatemala)
- 2014 – Course Preparation Seminar (Cuba)
- 2015 – Education for Vocation in the International Context (Mexico)

More information, including a full brochure, regarding any faculty development program currently open for registration can be found on our upcoming opportunities page.
Colleges and universities are also welcome to customize their own seminar for members of their campus community. Similar to all of our customized travel seminars, customized faculty development seminars through the Center for Global Education design a program tailored to meet the specific needs of your institution. By taking care of all planning logistics, we free up your faculty to concentrate on the experience itself and get the most out of their time away from campus.
