FULL-TIME INTERNSHIP OPTIONS IN CUERNAVACA, MEXICO

In addition to part-time internships available as part of the semester-long and summer programs in Mexico, there are also full-time internship options available for January, the summer, fall or spring semester, and year-long internships.

 

January (or J-term/Interim) Internships

January (or J-term/Interim) internships are available for the month of January. There may be limited options for placements because many organizations are not be able to accept an intern for such a short amount of time and because we require a high level of commitment for this minimum amount of time.  Throughout the month, students will participate in an ongoing orientation to working and living in Mexico, as well as weekly one-on-one meetings with CGE instructors.  Internship fees include placement and administration costs, airport pick-up and drop-off, transportation to and from internship site and a solidarity honorarium for the host site. Application deadline for the J-term internship is November 1st.  Several housing options are available for the summer intern:

Summer Internships

Summer internships typically begin at the end of May and last for eight weeks (exact dates vary from year to year; please contact CGE for current dates), although accommodations can be made for students whose colleges have a later semester end date. Summer interns will participate in a week-long orientation and will attend regular one-on-one supervision with CGE instructors as well as with site supervisors. Internship fees include placement and administration costs, airport pick-up and drop-off, transportation to and from internship site and a solidarity honorarium for the host site. Application deadline for the summer internship is April 1st.  Several housing options are available for the summer intern:

Semester-Long Internships

Semester-Long internships are available for the Fall (late August through early December) and Spring semesters (late January though mid-May).  Exact dates vary from year to year; please contact CGE for current dates. Semester interns will participate in a week-long orientation and will then be expected to attend regular one-on-one supervision with CGE instructors as well as with site supervisors.  Internship fees include placement and administration costs, airport pick-up and drop-off, transportation to and from internship site and a solidarity honorarium for the host site. Application deadline for the semester internship is June 1st for the fall semester and December 15th for the spring semester.  Several housing options are available for the year long intern:
