CALL FOR PROPOSALS FOR CAMPUS ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP PROJECTS
The Environmental Stewardship Committee accepts proposals from current Augsburg students for projects that reduce the campus’s environmental impact. Proposals are accepted on an on-going basis, and will be awarded until the funds for that year are used up.
Grants of up to $500 in student stipend and $500 in equipment and supplies are available for individuals or groups who would like to undertake a specific project which will have some tangible impact on areas such as energy use, waste reduction, transportation, any aspect of the campus carbon footprint, or storm water management.
Proposals should include the name and contact information of the applicant(s), copy of transcripts and resume; 250-500 word description of the proposed project, including a timeline for implementation, and the specific goals for reducing the environmental impact of our campus operations; a proposed budget; and a list of campus departments or offices which would be involved in the project.
Students awarded fellowships will be asked to present the results of their project and assessment of the impact of their project on campus greening to the ESC and/or wider campus community.
Submit applications to the ESC at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
*If the committee has questions about the proposals, we may request that you attend one of the monthly ESC meetings. Proposals will be approved by the ESC depending on merit and funds available.
