State-mandated Testing for Teacher Licensure:

The State of Minnesota requires pre-professional skill testing (Praxis I, also called the Pre-Professional Skills Test--PPST) for all applicants to a Minnesota teacher licensure program. After completing the K-12 teacher licensure sequence, licensure applicants are also required to take a series of tests in pedagogy and their teaching content-areas. These post-program tests are called the Praxis II. More information about these tests, such as passing scores and application fees, are availble in the documents listed below. These documents were prepared by the State of Minnesota Department of Education.
