Seeing the world
through another's eyes...in Mexico
Why Mexico?
Cuernavaca,
"City of Eternal Spring," is the setting for our programs. It is well
known for its role in innovative grass-roots education, alternative
health practices, Base Christian Communities (“BCCs”), and economic
cooperatives. North Americans, Japanese and Europeans are
attracted to Cuernavaca’s numerous Spanish language schools.
The Center for Global Education maintains two study centers in
the Colonia San Anton neighborhood where classes are held and students
live for part of the semester.
Home
stays with local families are also included, as well as intensive
language instruction, opportunities for field work in an
internship or independent study, and some regional travel and
field trips.
Instruction provided by our on-site faculty
is supplemented by many local resource people with broad
ranges of experience and viewpoints, giving multiple perspectives on
the topics being studies.

programs unique...
