Majors: Double major in Public Accounting and Finance
Why I chose Augsburg: The U.S.A. has always been a fascinating country to me. I started to do research about U.S. colleges and universities when I was a high school senior. In one of the education fairs I attended, I met Marissa, the coordinator of International Admissions, and had a good time talking to her. I was impressed by how friendly and energetic she was. Also, Marissa gave me the brochure of the academic courses Augsburg offers and I immediately felt interested in a double major program and the President Scholarship for international students. During the process of my application, Marissa and I kept in touch and she helped me a lot. After receiving the admission results from the other three colleges, I decided to study at Augsburg. After two years at Augsburg, I realized the relationships I have with the people I met at Augsburg make me love the college even more.
Fun facts: Somehow after 2 years living independently of my family, I became a neat freak. I reorganize stuff in my room at least twice a week.
Favorite books: My favorite author is Cecelia Ahern and most of my favorite books are written by her, such as: Where Rainbows End, If You Could See Me Now, and P.S. I Love You. However, I have been so busy I couldn't finish the book "Thanks for the memory" I started during the summer of 2010.
What I do at Augsburg: I am a President Scholar, a member of International Student Organization (ISO) and Augsburg Asian Student Association (AASA). I am currently one of the two Presidents of Hesser House in Honors Program. I work as student assistant for Business Department. I also tutor students who need help with accounting and business-related courses. Last summer (2011) I worked full time as a student researcher through the URGO summer research program at Augsburg.
Where I've been: In US, I have been to Nebraska, South Dakota, California, and Oklahoma. I didn't travel much when I was back home in Vietnam so I cannot list any places.
