Major: International Business and Finance

Why I chose Augsburg:The States has always been a fascinating country to me. I started to do research about U.S. colleges and universities when I was a high school senior. In one of the education fairs I attended, I met Marissa, the coordinator of International Admissions, and had a good time
talking to her.

I was impressed by how friendly and energetic she was. Also, Marissa gave me the brochure of the academic courses Augsburg offers and I immediately felt interested in a double majors program and the President Scholarship for international students. During the process of my
application, Marissa and I kept in touch and she helped me a lot. After receiving the admission results from the other three colleges, I decided to study at Augsburg.

So far, my impression about Augsburg has not changed: the faculty and staff, and students here are very friendly, nice and always willing to help others.

Fast facts: I'm a chocoholic. I like cartoons and horror movies. Lindell Library, Honors Suite, Murphy Park and Fitness Center are the places that I like most and usually hang around. My roommate is super cool. I love meeting people, reading novels, writing Vietnamese stories (so far I have written 5 short stories, and received a lot of positive comments), traveling, starry sky and flowers.

Favorite books: My favorite author is Cecelia Ahern and most of my favorite books are written by her, such as: Where Rainbows End, If You Could See Me Now, and P.S. I Love You. I am always absorbed in her books no matter it is the first time or the third time I read them. I am waiting for her new books to be published in U.S.

What I do at Augsburg: I am a President Scholar, a member of Honors Program, and a First-Year Senator. I've just signed up for voluntary elementary school tutor. And though my schedule is busy, I love it here and hope to join in more activities at Augsburg.

Where I've been: I have been to many cities and provinces in Vietnam. Dalat is my favorite city, the weather of which is really cool and nice and there are a lot of flowers there. I have also been to Singapore, a small but developed country. Singapore is famous for its cleanness and greenness and it is a very ideal place for shopping. In addition, I hope during the time I am here, I can make trips to different parts of the States. Also, I want to study in France through the study-abroad program that Augsburg encourages students to join.
