The Augsburg Honors Program offers an adventurous education where exceptional students with a passion for ideas can be their best. We offer a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for students committed to an outstanding higher education.
Augsburg’s Honors Program is unlike any other honors program in the nation because it gives students the resources and freedom to build their own ideal higher education. Honors students take the Honors curriculum - which satisfies the general education requirements - and have the opportunity to create their own courses, edit and write for the Honors Review (an interdisciplinary journal for undergraduate scholarship), engage in faculty/student research collaboration, and belong to an Honors House.
Through these activities, students can engage in travel abroad, service-learning, social justice activities, political activism, leadership, research, and social gatherings with their friends.
We believe that higher education should be a grand adventure. We invite you to begin your educational adventure with us.
The Augsburg Honors Review is an interdisciplinary undergraduate journal exhibiting outstanding academic work by undergraduate students.
Imagine your ideal college education. What classes would you take? Who would teach them? What kind of students would you study with? What activities would you take part in? Where would you travel?
Asking these questions resulted in a student-centered program where students take responsibility for their own learning, with the full support of the faculty and the resources they need to achieve their goals. MORE >
