Submit a Paper

Submission Dead Line for 2009 Publication: Accepting submissions on a rolling basis


To submit a paper send an e-mail to honrview@augsburg.edu in the following format:

  1. Subject of Email - Last Name, First Name of the primary author.

  2. Names - In the paper and email, provide your name as you would like it to be printed, along with the names of co-authors and advisers. The AHR has a blind selection process, so the author's name will not be given to the selection committee.

  3. School - The undergraduate school you were attending when the paper was written and/or the institution where the research was conducted.

  4. Division - State whether your paper falls under the Humanities, Social Science, or Natural Science division.

  5. Treatise or Essay - If your paper is an extensive research project greater than 3000 words, it is a Treatise. If it is a shorter research project, approximately 3000 words or less, then it is an Essay.

  6. Your Email - Provide an up-to-date email that will be active for at least nine months from the date of submission. If the AHR accepts your paper for publication, an editor will contact you about the editing process.

  7. Title of Paper - Include the title of your paper in the email and in the header of the attached paper.

  8. Abstract - Include a 200-700 word abstract for your paper in the email and in the attached paper.

  9. Cover letter - As a separate word document, attach a 200-700 word cover letter explaining why the paper is an excellent candidate for publication and how the paper meets the AHR standards of publication.

  10. Attachments - As a word document (.doc) attach your paper to the email with the file name: lastname_firstname.doc. Also, attach your cover letter with the file name lastname_firstnameCL.doc.

The submission will not be accepted for consideration if it is not formatted in the above manner.

By submitting a paper, the author is agreeing to work with AHR editors to prepare the paper for publication. If the paper is accepted for publication, the author must complete the editing process to the satisfaction of the AHR editors before the paper will be published. The author is also agreeing to all of the Policies and Standards of the AHR.
