Timeline to Publication
Submission.
Deadline for submission is half way through the academic spring semester. Within one week of submitting, the person submitting a paper should receive confirmation from AHR staff. If submitter does not receive confirmation within a week, e-mail AHR at honrview@augsburg.edu.
Distribution
Papers will be collected by the Managing Editor and distributed to Division Editors according to each paper’s discipline.
Selection
Division editors will then identify papers as either accepted, accepted with changes needed, or rejected.
Readers
Division editors will distribute papers identified as accepted and accepted with revisions needed to outside readers and AHR editors.
Editing
Papers will be returned in the fall with comments. The author begins revisions according to the suggestions of the outside readers and AHR editors. Staff members begin cite-checking the paper. Editing continues until the paper is deemed ready for publication.
Publication.
Revised papers will be submitted to the Division Editor, then the Managing Editor, then the Editor-in-Chief. All stages of editors will complete a proofreading of papers chosen for publication. The AHR is published annually in January.
