The Social Work Department invites applications for a non-tenure track, limited-term, full-time position, Assistant Professor of Social Work, effective September 1, 2009.
Responsibilities include teaching and some committee work in the department. Candidates will teach across the curriculum in both the Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work programs. Class schedules may include evenings and weekends. Areas of specialization should include generalist practice, policy practice, family practice, mental health, and/or research methods. We are a dynamic and innovative department whose mission is to develop social work professionals for practice that promotes social justice and empowerment.
Requirements include an MSW and license to practice social work in Minnesota; earned doctorate in social work or closely related field preferred (ABDs considered if within one year of completion). Minimum of two years post-MSW practice experience and demonstrated teaching excellence at the college level also required.
