The Music Department at Augsburg College seeks candidates for a tenure-track opening, Assistant Professor of Music, to start September 1, 2010. The department seeks energetic, innovative candidates whose expertise will enhance the development of a vibrant music education program.
POSITION STATUS: Full-time, tenure-track
RESPONSIBILITIES: Specific responsibilities include teaching music education methods to undergraduates, student teaching supervision, curriculum development and possible teaching of general courses in the departments of music and education. Familiarity with the theories and applications of music therapy is desirable.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates should have an earned doctorate and at least five years experience teaching public school music (vocal or instrumental).
