Competitive Scholarships

Incoming high school seniors wanting to apply for one or more of the following competitive scholarships must do so within their application to Augsburg. Students cannot apply for a competitive scholarship after they have submitted their application to the University.

HONORS – $26,000 per year

Students with a demonstrated record of academic achievement and leadership are encouraged to apply for our Honors Scholarship. To be considered, students are required to answer the additional 2 essay questions within their application to the University. Students must have their completed application submitted no later than January 11, 2019.

Applicants are encouraged to apply for additional scholarships for which they might qualify, but if an Honors Scholarship is awarded, the recipient cannot receive any other Augsburg scholarships, with the exception of a Fine Arts Scholarship or Early Auggie Scholarship.

FINE ARTS – $3,000 per year

The Fine Arts Scholarship recognizes incoming first year and transfer students who have excelled in film, forensics, speech, music, theater, or visual arts (including vocal and instrumental performance, acting, design, and production) and who plan to continue to actively participate while at Augsburg.

All first year students who have been offered admission by January 11, 2019, will be invited to audition. After January 25, 2019, applicants who are accepted will be considered for the Fine Arts Scholarship on a rolling basis until April 1, 2019. The Admissions Office will connect with students once they are admitted to complete the Fine Arts Scholarship process including scheduling the audition and or interview.

Transfer students must have their completed application and required materials submitted by August 1, 2019.
