Building a Web Site--Web Page
Construction (HTML) Resources
Once you have completed
your research project, you will probably want to let others know
about it. Developing a web site is one way to get the word
out.
Web pages are written in a special
language called Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML)--a special
language of codes and commands that web browsers such as Netscape
Navigator and Internet Explorer use to lay out web pages. To see
what HTML looks like, pull down the edit menu of your web browser
and select "Page Source." The apparently (but not really)
complicated page of text you'll see is HTML. Learning HTML is not
absolutely necessary to build a web page, but it doesn't hurt to
have at least a passing familiarity with its most important
concepts before you get started.
The following links point to web
sites which have collections of resources to assist you in
designing and maintaining a successful web site.
