For many research activities the
Internet can be a powerful tool in finding and disseminating
information. The Internet is being used by individuals and
communities all over the world to assist their scholarly,
professional, and personal efforts. But while most of us have at
least a passing knowledge of how to use web browsers and email
programs, some of the more complex aspects of the Internet are not
as widely known or used.
