Location codes

This catalog is shared by the 8 CLIC colleges: Augsburg, Bethel, St. Catherine, Concordia, Hamline, Macalester, Northwestern, St. Thomas.

When looking at a book record in the catalog, any location that begins with "AUG" is in Lindell Library. All other codes are at one of the other schools listed above.

Requesting Books

You can request books from the other libraries in CLIC by clicking on the "Request" button in the book record. In most cases, requested books will be delivered to Augsburg within three days.

If you have any problems requesting books, contact the Research Desk at 612-330-1604.

Checking out

Your Augsburg ID must be registered in the library's online system before you can use many library services. ID cards are made in the Enrollment and Financial Services Center on the first floor of Sverdrup Hall during their regular business hours. With your ID, you can check materials out at other CLIC libraries as well. However, an Augsburg ID does not entitle you to check out materials from the University of Minnesota.

Students, faculty & staff from CLIC schools may use the Augsburg library by presenting a picture ID from their home institution. Non-Augsburg patrons can apply for a "Lindell Library Borrowing Card" at the Street Level Circulation Desk.

Overdues

You are responsible for the timely return of all material borrowed on your ID, whether or not you receive any reminder of overdue notices from the library. Loan periods vary, so be certain you understand the due date for all material at the time of check-out. If the due date changes, we will contact you at your AugNet e-mail address.

The library will send reminder notices of overdue material each week that the item is overdue to your AugNet e-mail account. If the item is eligible for renewal and you want to renew it, choose one of the methods for renewing the item outlined in the email.

Four weeks after the due date, books are considered lost and subject to billing for replacement. The overdue and billing process is accelerated for items with shorter checkout periods. The minimum replacement charge for all items is $65, including a nonrefundable processing fee. All replacement bills are referred to the Business Office, and appear on your monthly fee statement. A paper copy of the bill will also be sent to your permanent address.

Faculty and staff members will be notified of overdue materials through their campus address. Departments are financially responsible for materials checked out by their faculty members, and department chairs may be notified of materials that need to be billed.

Finding something besides a book

This search will also find CDs and videos. Use the CD search or video search to search only for those items at Augsburg.
