Ordering Items (ILL) Help
I need to know...
What does "Order Items" mean?
Ordering an item, whether it's a book, an article, a video, a CD, or any thing else, means that you are placing a request to borrow an item that Lindell Library does not own. In other libraries, this service is usually known as "Interlibrary Loan." This service exists to supplement Lindell Library's resources.
It is our policy that we deliver items in electronic format if possible as a default. Once your order has been filled, a link to the document will be sent to your email address. You will need an internet connection and, in most cases, Adobe Acrobat Reader 6.0 or higher to view the files. This is free software available at Adobe's website.
If you have any questions at all, please feel free to contact us at 612-330-1014 or at illdept@augsburg.edu It is our job to help you, don't be afraid to ask questions!
Warning Concerning Copyright Restrictions

Other Ordering Policies
Turn-around Time
The average turn-around time for an ordered item is one week. Hard-to-find or unique items may take longer
Overdue & Lost Items
You are responsible for the timely return of borrowed material, whether or not you receive a reminder notice or an overdue notice. Please make sure you know the due date at the time you check out the item. Charges for lost items are determined by the lending library, not Lindell Library. Billed items will result in charges to your Augsburg account.
Non-circulating material
Some items may be lent to us on the condition that they be used only in Lindell Library. Such items may not be taken from Lindell Library, even for overnight use.
