Academic Search Premier is a general database; therefore, it is the best place to start if you have a simple topic or just don’t know where else to begin!
Subject specific databases provide more in-depth articles on a specific topic. If you need articles on the “gnostic gospels,” choose the ATLAS database because it is a religion database. If researching an education topic, you might try ERIC or Education Plus.
The interface of databases may look different, but you can use similar search techniques.
