For some disciplines and projects, finding the most current information possible can be crucial. Compare stem cell research to early American history research, for example. Which field might require the most recent information or data possible? Keep the following questions in mind while reviewing the Stem Cell Information site from the National Institutes of Health:

• When was it produced?
• When was it updated?
• How up-to-date are the links (if any)?
• How many dead links are on the page?
• Are the links current or updated regularly?
• Can you determine that the information is inaccurate based on what you already know about your topic?
