Master of Arts in Nursing
Graduate Project
Students will fulfill their Master of Arts in Nursing through a final project, which serves as the capstone of the masters program.
The Graduate Field Project, NUR 525, is based on a self-selected issue relevant to transcultural community health nursing, or nursing leadership. The student will focus primarily on the application and integration of knowledge. Working with an adviser, the student will design and/or implement and evaluate a model of advanced practice nursing applied to solving a transcultural problem related to health inequities in a selected community, or a nursing leadership issue.
Students must complete all coursework and defend the project within two years after registration. For additional information, please refer to the “Graduate Field Project or Integrative Thesis Procedures and Policies” booklet available through the Nursing Department
