Singer - Actor Workshop

The Workshop
If you are a singer who acts, an actor who sings, or something in between, the Augsburg Singer-Actor Workshop is for you. This five full-day program is designed for students in 7th through 12th grades who want to expand their skills as singers and actors, meet other like-minded students and have fun.
Exploration
Is at the heart of the Singer-Actor Workshop. Students will explore the many facets of singing and acting guided by Augsburg faculty
New Skills, Techniques and Concepts
Feature a playful, active, and creative learning environment
Limited Enrollment
Will promote a relaxed and personalized atmosphere for learning
Varied Daily Schedule
Includes large group, small group, and individualized instruction in areas of voice, acting, and movement
Perform, Play and Improvise!
A variety of activities will build collaborative skills, expand vocal and physical possibilities, and build imagination
Classes, Rehearsals, Coaching and Lessons
Will be taught by Augsburg College music and theater faculty and acclaimed Twin Cities professional performers
Daily Schedule
9–9:45 a.m., Movement, warm up and theater games
9:45–10:45 a.m., Large group session: Skills of the singer-actor
10:45–11 a.m, Break
11 a.m.–Noon, Workshops: voice, acting, improv, and movement
Noon–12:45 p.m., Lunch (included)
12:30–2:30 p.m, Rehearsal, coaching, private instruction
2:30–2:45 p.m, Break
2:45–4 p.m., Rehearsal, coaching, private instruction
4–5 p.m., Masterclass
Registration
Fee: $300; Registration deadline: May 15, 2013; Now extended to June 1st!
$50 non-refundable deposit due May 15.

Participants also must submit with their application & deposit a recording of a song of their choice in their preferred format (MP3, CD, DVD) and send it with their application or email it to musicdept@augsburg.edu. Name must be clearly labeled on recording or file.
