The winter break study abroad trip “Monks and Heretics in Medieval Scotland” recently was featured by Metro Lutheran. The article described how Augsburg history and medieval studies students traveled to a functioning monastery and were immersed in the daily experiences of monks, offering the students an insider’s perspective on religion, scholarship, history, and much more. In the article, Augsburg students and Phil Adamo, associate professor and director of Medieval Studies, described their experiences and takeaways from the trip.
