Fall 1998, Vol. 61, No. 1 Turning the Page-Augsburg professor shows artwork An exhibition featuring the book art and graphic designs of Tara Christopherson, art professor and owner and graphic designer of Fruitful Results Design, will be at Augsburg College in the Gage Family Art Gallery from September 18 to October 22, 1998. "The personal folklore of my poetry, paper and book art are inspired by what's in the air and beneath my feet," says Christopherson. "Old quilts, sprouting prairie grasses, native woods, wildflower seeds, recycled papers, baking bread, discarded packaging, sun-dried sheets-the materials of my work are born and raised here." In addition to her work at Augsburg, she owns a graphic design business whose clients include Milkweed Editions, the University of Minnesota, the Minnesota Attorney General and the Minnesota Boychoir. She is the recipient of a Bush Foundation grant for a collaborative installation on Celebrations with the Minnesotas Children's Museum. Contact Cathy Peters at (612) 330-1524 for more information. |
