Athletic celebrations

Henry Gerten took first place for the second year in a row at the NCAA Division III National Championships in Waterloo, Iowa, in March. This winter the wrestling team won the NCAA Division III national title for the fifth time. Gerten went on to receive the Mike Augustin/Division III Male Athlete of the Year award presented by Midwest Sports Channel on June 25.

The football team won its first MIAC title since 1928 and the school's
first-ever berth in the NCAA Division III national playoffs.

The Auggies won 18 of their last 22 games, to claim their first MIAC
regular-season championship since 1982, first-ever MIAC playoff title and second trip
to the NCAA Division III Final Four, finishing fourth in the nation.

The Auggies made history by claiming their first MIAC regular season championship
since 1985, finishing with a 22-4 record, the third-best record in school history.
