Augsburg Now: Augsburg's Youth and Family Institute

Spring/Summer 1998, Vol. 60, No. 3

Books on wheels will travel

Resource and Gift Center

One of the aspects of the mission of the Youth and Family Institute of Augsburg College is to promote the nurturing of healthy and faithful children, youth, and families who are devoted to a Christian lifestyle. Last year, YFI created a resource booklet recommending the best books, films and materials to help with faith life in the home. Following the booklet's release, the institute created the Resource and Gift Center.

The center is a bookstore on wheels that church leaders can buy to display in their church. Subjects range from children's Christian books to how-to-guides on creating a strong faith life in the home.

Designed to pose no financial risk for churches or congregation members, the center offers an easy way for congregations to purchase Christian books. And because it is designed so that churches can make a profit from the sale of any books, it also can help supplement other funds in the church.

For more information on YFI Resource and Gift Center, call (612) 330-1624.
