Deb
has been a practicing B.S.N. for 22 years, working 10 years in hospital/outpatient
settings and the last 12 years with community/public health services.
She received a Masters in Transcultural Community Health Nursing
from Augsburg College in 2004 and is currently working as a P.H.N.
clinician/supervisor in the Healthy Families Section within St.
Paul - Ramsey County Public Health. The department’s nursing
services are for high-risk families, with a focus on women and children.
Deb has been providing transcultural nursing care for immigrant/refugee
communities since 1994, with experience in diverse ethnic populations
including Southeast Asians, Eastern Europeans, African and Middle
Eastern refugees, and Latino communities.
