Tuition and Financial Aid

Tuition for the PA class entering summer 2013 will be based on a course rate for the summer 2013 semester only.  The rate is $2,752.00 per course with PA 501 (Anatomy) considered as a two course equivalent.

Beginning in the fall semester 2013, Augsburg College (and the PA Program) will transition to a credit system with the cost per credit for the PA Program class entering 2013 at $688 per credit.  College fees are estimated to be $400 per year.

The following is a list of credits taken per year.

Year One:
42 Credits (not including the summer semester 2013 courses which were under the course tuition rate noted above)

Year Two:
35-37 Credits (exact credit load is dependent upon master’s project selection and rotation schedule)

Year Three:
17-20 Credits (exact credit load is dependent upon rotation schedule)

Lab Fees and Equipment
These costs are estimated to be $600 for lab fees ($200 per semester in the academic phase) and $800 for medical equipment.

Books and Supplies
These costs are estimated to be $1,600 for the academic phase.

Clinical Phase Credentialing Fees
Some clinical sites may require additional credentialing documentation. Student costs estimated at $100 could be incurred at these sites.

PA Enrollment Deposit $500 (non-refundable)
The enrollment deposit is required of all new PA students after acceptance, and is credited to the student’s account to be applied to their first semester tuition.

Payments and Financial Aid
Prior to the start of each semester a statement of estimated charges and anticipated financial aid credits is mailed to students. For information on financial aid, payment plans, tuition refunds, and withdrawal from college, contact the Enrollment Center.

Elective International Experiences

There is additional cost associated with the master’s project international experience.  Students who choose this as their option for the written master’s project can expect to pay between $2000.00- $5000.00 in addition to standard PA course tuition. Costs change dependent upon the market, international site and length of stay.
