Pan-Asian Student Services

What We Do

Mission:

To provide support services and opportunities for all Augsburg students, with an emphasis on Pan Asian students, that will engage students in transformative, life-long learning and develop life skills in consideration of cultural context which compliment their academic experience through co-curricular involvement and civic engagement.

The Pan Asian Student Services program provides advising, mentoring, support, and fellowship to ethnically diverse students.

Services include:

Assists students with the admissions process and financial aid application
Provides academic advising and course planning
Offers counseling services (personal, social, and cultural) including interventions, crisis counseling and advocacy
Fosters student security and comfort
Provides opportunities to network with other students, faculty, staff, and alumni of color
Offers community and professional referrals, networking opportunities, and information for jobs and internships
Supports and assists admissions in the recruitment of ethnically diverse students
Assists with new student orientation and registration
Assists in the social and cultural transition to college
Advises student organizations (Augsburg Asian Student Association)
Selects scholarship recipients and assist with mentors

Asian Scholars in Action (ASIA) Leadership Award

PASS recognizes and nurtures student leaders. Each year seven scholarships are awarded to incoming students who have demonstrated qualities of leadership in high school. Learn more about this opportunity and other scholarships here.
