Opportunities for Community PAs to Get Involved with the Augsburg PA Program
Augsburg's PA program is looking for interested PAs who wish to be involved with the education of our students through activities both on- and off-campus.


Potential Options for Involvement:
Grading written SOAP notes (Could be done off-campus)- Approximate Time commitment: 5 hours every 5-6 weeks (following three students throughout their Clinical Phase); 1 week turnaround time required


Grading practical exams-History & Physical Exam course- Approximate Time Commitment: 3-4 hours periodically throughout Fall and Spring semesters
Clinical phase practical exams- Approximate time commitment: 3-4 hours every 5-6 weeks


Grading oral presentations- Approximate Time commitment: 3-4 hours 2-4 times a year


Assisting in H&P physical exam practice times- Approximate Time Commitment:Occasional Monday and/or Friday afternoons


Lecturing: Approximate Time commitment- Occasional 2-3 hour lectures, depending on area(s) of clinical expertise


Training
Training will be provided by Augsburg PA Program faculty prior to Fall and Spring semesters.

Physician Assistant Position:  Family Practice
Location:  St. Paul, Minnesota

MDCare is an independently owned walk-in and full service medical clinic. Physician Assistant Position:  Urology
Location:  St. Paul

Aspen Medical Group has a full-time opportunity for a P. A.  Join a practice with 2 urologists practicing in St, Paul and Bloomington.  Work as a member of the Urology Dept., take medical histories, examine and treat patients, make diagnosis, prescribe medication, document notes and education of patients.  The position is a clinic based, non-operative position, providing clinical coverage 5 days per week.  Will perform consults, pre-op and post-op rounding on patients at United Hospital in St. Paul and Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.  First call one week every 4 weeks, with physician back up. Additional compensation provided when taking evening and weekend call.  Lab, X-ray, MRI, CT and mammography are available and on site. Clinic hours are M-F, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.  Full time position, 35 patient contact hours per week.
Requirements:  Master’s Degree from an accredited P. A. program, a current Minnesota license, and pending or current certification with the NCCPA.  Candidates must have previous Urology experience.
