Welcome to the 2009-10 academic year at Augsburg! You’re an Auggie, too, and I want to invite you to become as involved in the Parent and Family Council as time and distance allow. I encourage you to keep this information handy so you are able to keep updated. I also hope you’ll
visit our parent and family website at www.augsburg.edu/parents for the specific locations of our meetings and other important information.
Parent and Family Council Calendar
The Parent and Family Council gathers several times during the year to either meet around a topic of your choosing or to volunteer at a College activity. You are welcome to join us as often as you can.
Saturday, September 5, 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.: Move-In Day for new students! Returning parents come and volunteer and welcome new families!
Tuesday, September 22, 7:00-9:00 p.m., Oren Gateway Center, Room 100: Our first Parent and Family Council meeting, topic TBD, refreshments provided!
Thursday, October 1-Sunday, October 4: Homecoming and Family Weekend! Please see www.augsburg.edu/homecoming for details and registration information.
Tuesday, October 20, 7:00-9:00 p.m., Oren Gateway Center, Room 100: Parent and Family Council meeting, topic TBD, refreshments provided!
Friday, December 4 and Saturday, December 5: Advent Vespers at Central Lutheran Church in downtown Minneapolis. Ushers needed for the services at 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. on Friday and 2:00, 5:00 and 8:00 on Saturday. More details to come.

Friday, February 19 and Saturday, February 20: Admissions Scholarship Weekend. Greeters and panel members will be needed. Details to come.
Tuesday, March 16, 7:00-9:00 p.m., Oren Gateway Center, Room 100: Parent and Family Council meeting, topic TBD, refreshments provided!
Wednesday, April 7 and Thursday, April 8, Christensen Center, 4:30-8:00 p.m.: Admissions Sneak Preview event. Details to come.
April Event at Augsburg House! We're still working on details, but President Paul and Abigail Pribbenow will have us to their home for a year end event!
Saturday, May 1, Si Melby Hall, 9:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.: Commencement. We will need ushers and ticket takers, details still to come.
