Augsburg College International Partners: Information for Augsburg students

About Our Partner Schools

Our European Partner schools are state or private church-related colleges fully accredited by their national governments. They offer degrees equivalent to the U.S. Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science.

Academic Program

Partner schools collaborate in two study abroad opportunities for Augsburg students:

  • Classroom learning
  • Practical experience (experiential learning)

Academic Credit

  • Fulfills major requirements
  • Automatic credit toward an Augsburg degree
  • Augsburg Experience credit

Academic Requirements

  • Major: Unrestricted
  • Year: Sophomore minimum (Day College, Weekend College, Graduate Programs)
  • GPA: 2.5 minimum

Classes and registration

The International Partners director will help you identify courses that fulfill your degree requirements and will then register you for those courses. In some instances, your academic coursework can be combined with practical experience in your professional field.

Students can choose from a wide range of courses pre-approved for Augsburg credit in a variety of fields, especially business. You can get solid business training at eight Partner schools in Finland, Germany, and Norway.

Language

All classes are taught in English. If desired, intensive language training is available at most schools.

Cost

  • Tuition, room, board: comparable to cost at Augsburg College
  • Air transportation: travel grants available
  • Financial aid applies

Housing and Meals

  • Student residences with cooking facilities
  • Host families a possible option
