Things Philosophers Can Do After College

If you want to teach philosophy, you must obtain a Ph.D. in philosophy. Opportunities to teach philosophy currently are very limited. However, Pat is applying to graduate school in philosophy at the University of Minnesota; Michael is doing graduate work in Wales.

But there are many things you can do with a major. Heidi is completing law school at William Mitchell. Greg is a practicing lawyer. Lisa and Krista are doing graduate work in psychology. Bill is in graduate school studying ecology. Heidi is finishing her work at Luther Seminary. Andrew completed seminary at Princeton and is applying to graduate school in literature. Matthew, Steve, Helen, Dwight, John, Eric, and many others are pastoring churches. Mark is a missionary in France.

Terry is a sales representative. Matthew is working in business. Jonathan works for a student loan agency. Robert wrote a book on travel in Korea; Greg wrote on decision making.

The bottom line: our majors do many things.
