Another year, another Goldwater winner!

Augsburg Physics major, Cameron Olson ’17, was awarded a $7,500 Goldwater Scholarship, the premier STEM award for undergraduates. Each college in the country is able to nominate four undergraduate STEM students, and this year, 252 awardees were chosen from 1,150 applicants nationwide. Cameron has conducted space physics research here on campus with Dr. Engebretson and will do a second summer of research this year at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab under the mentorship of Augsburg physics alumnus, Dr. Brian Anderson ’82.
